Bud's Beach

Snow White and I spent a few hours this week down at Bud's Beach. (Thanks, Bayman!!!) Those of you who attended Blog Fest '09 will remember the place. It's on Gwynn's Island, just this side of Heaven!

I spent most of my time reading and searching for sea glass, while Snow White slept peacefully on a beach blanket. Temperatures were in the mid 80's, and there was a wonderful breeze blowing off of the water. We ended our girls' day with a light lunch at the Seabreeze, and then headed home.

No matter what life may throw your way, a trip to the beach always puts things back into perspective.

I'm thinking that a trip to Walmart with my daughter won't have the same effect.

What a sweet post. I can relate. I used to walk or sit on the beach almost every day after work. It's therapeutic and makes the world right and bright.

No jealousy here. Nope, not me. None at all. I don't have a bit of envy in the slightest.....(tear....sniff)

I will be okay, just need a moment to clear away the fact that I am verklempt...

Amen! A trip to the beach DOES keep everything in perspective. It is too pretty for words : ) The only thing that would have made this picture nicer was a picture of you in your bathing suit : )

If I'm welcome, I hope to come this year. However, I seriously need help in figuring out what to do. I have a freebie round-trip on SW Airlines so I thought this would be the best way ever to spend it. I'll be coming from West Texas & am thinking that Norfolk is the closest airport for me. Let me know...It'll be my first time ever to see the Chesapeake Bay AND have the pleasure of meeting new bloggy friends...

I am so pumped! I mean, if I'm welcome, LOL!

I'm so happy to find another blogger who likes sea glass!!

Just this last weekend I found a new spot and I went there twice. (Day two was a real hoot...I slipped on a mossy rock and just about broke my ass...but I didn't spill my diet coke!)

I've searched for sea glass all over southern California, Oahu and Brighton Beach, England. It is truly one of my most favorite ways to spend a day.
