Tired

My cat has the right idea...sleep, eat and sleep some more!

Vacation Bible School arrived on the heels of Blog Fest. Both were topped off with a heaping helping of triple-digit temperatures. As if THAT weren't enough, Snow White is preparing to leave for college in a few short weeks. Eye appointments, dental appointments, driving school and dorm shopping are but a few of the many tasks at hand. The joint is jumpin', and I am exhausted!

After church yesterday, I grabbed a float and relaxed in our tepid pool. I attempted to take a nap out there, but my mind just kept racing:/ So much to do, so little time! Before I knew it, Sunday was over and Monday was knocking at the door... with no naps in sight!!

I hope you all had a nice weekend, and that the work week will sail smoothly by!

Silly Goose!

Gustav was one of the featured characters at Blog Fest '10. He is notorious for hissing, spitting and generally being in a fowl foul mood. Evidently, if there is no one else around to bite, he bites himself!!!
He has a movie out now, but it's only being shown locally;)

Blog Fest Thanks

Today I have moved from anticipation mode to memory mode. Blog Fest '10 has come and gone, and this post is all about thanking those who made it so special. If I forget anyone, please feel free to chastise me in the comment section;) Too little sleep makes for a foggy brain!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank the Chesapeake Bay Family for hosting this event. It's hard to believe that they let us into their homes two years in a row! It would be impossible to find more gracious hosts. They are all beautiful, inside and out.

Next, I'd like to thank the ladies who showered me with gifts. You have no idea how special these mementos are to me! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Wine Glass - Soupy Meg aka My Sister (It should be ready for full use by Wednesday. I promise to give it a good workout!)

"I Love George" Pin - Kate (My pets are NOT happy!)

Crab Slide and Polish - Daryl (Snow White was eyeballing that polish last night. How do you think THAT will end??)

Girly Dog Tag-ish Necklace - Mental P Mama (LOVE this! It's nouveau preppy.)

Fiddler Crab Crap - Noe Noe Girl ( Have fun topping THAT next year!!)

I'd also like to thank Bayman for allowing us, once again, to descend upon his beach. I'm convinced that this beautiful piece of real estate will cure what ails you! (Thanks to CDub for the fabulous sign!!)

Thanks to Ms. Foolery, we had our own logo this year! What better way to display the logo than on the front of wine bottles? She also deserves a big thanks for dragging her adorable family along...they will probably be in therapy for years!

No list of thanks would be complete without mentioning Noe Noe Girl and Re. These two ladies worked tirelessly to ensure that the house was kept clean, and that everyone had something to eat or drink. They also provided a great deal of entertainment;) I love you both!

Finally, I'd like to thank all of the bloggers, locals, family and friends who made this Blog Fest enjoyable from start to finish. It would not be possible without you. I am humbled by your kindness, friendship and love.

And So It Begins

It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since the Blisters converged on Mathews County, VA! In a few short days, we will reunite for another magical weekend of laughter, hugs, wine, and adventure.

I am officially ready for the games to begin. CBDaughter was kind enough to decorate my boring, plain jane Blog Fest folder.

AND...the tumblers have arrived! I hope you like them:)

I'm going to pick up a few last minute items at lunchtime today, then it's all over but the packing! Oh, and work through Wednesday...:/

Are you ready??

Bring it on, Gustav!"
