Retraction

It has come to my attention that the abduction I blogged about a few days ago is being investigated as a false report. While I am THRILLED that there is not a psycho in our midst, I am saddened that a young woman with such promise would resort to something like this. So many questions, so few answers.

Please continue to keep this family in your prayers.

Wow. That's really something.

Assuming the friend was the one who concocted the story, that's sort of like the grown-up version of running away from home. Only, of course, it's far worse.

I hope things improve for her and her family.

That IS disturbing. A girl did this in the neighborhood where I work...scared everybody and put them all in a panic, then later said it was just a joke.

That is sad. The media, today, is capable of making many of society's greatest hits what they are, due to no talent of their own. This leads a lot of people, mostly youngsters, to think that they can just do something newsworthy and get on camera.
It is indeed sad.

Praying for her and her family! Like MPM, I am glad that she is o.k., but saddened that she felt the need to create a hoax.

Daryl - You are exactly right. It is more important than ever that her friends stand beside her and "hold her hand." There is so much that we just don't know.

I am so sorry. It's still a good lesson for girls to know. I just hope her cry wolf doesn't let some other young girl let her guard down and a REAL abduction take place!
