As many of you know, I am technologically challenged. I LOVE blogging, but I don't know how to do all of the fancy stuff. I'm a work in progress. Taking it one day at a time. Reading "Blogging for Dummies" every chance I get. Determined to be a total computer geek if it kills me.
Last Thursday, Blogger decided to play a cruel trick on me. I logged in to my site, and received the following error code bX-w90v67. Of course, the first thing I did was go to the Help Center. I don't know who named it the "Help" Center, but what they meant to call it was the "Torture Chamber for the Technologically Challenged". TCTC for short.
I followed the instructions, and searched the TCTC for my problem. Not there. No such code. You're looking for WHAT? Hahahahaha! Mere mockery. After an extensive search, complete with additional mockery, I was directed to leave a message for the Blogger staff. I went to that part of the TCTC, and tried to leave a message. An S.O.S. at this point. Well, I should have known it would be another dead end. I was told that I could not leave a message because I WAS NOT LOGGED IN!
No joke Sherlock! I came to this site because I couldn't log in in the first place! A lot of help YOU'VE been!
Over the weekend, I hit my trusty DIAL-UP (heavy *SIGH*) and tried to figure out what was going on. Somehow I managed to get into my blog - I'm still not sure how that happened, but I'm relieved. The bad thing is that I have to circumvent this awful code every time I want to blog, or read messages, or leave YOU a message. I had a nightmare last night that I went to my blog and the WHOLE THING consisted of bX codes! AAHHHHGGG!
I would appreciate any advice you may have regarding these heinous codes. I just want to blog code-free, is THAT so wrong?

LOL! Glad it's not just me. HELP center, yeah I'm with ya in that!
My current Blogger complaint is that my cursor does not line up with the button I am trying to click. And it only happens on Blogger - no other host.
Hope you find help soon.
Wait, wait, wait! There's a Blogging for Dummies?! I need it. And sorry, I'm NO help with technological thingies. I still haven't cracked open my new little IPod, Coco's, case : (
Weird! I wish I had some great technical advice for you, but frankly I don't :) I am glad to know I am not the only one dreaming about my blog! Ha. Hope you had a good weekend!
First off, my sympathies. I would have been stunned into a coma from being apart from my blog for that long.
Second, way to not give up.
Third, it is a well documented fact that "Geeks" like to torture us "normal" people and make us feel like idiots. Obviously, they are all just fooling around with you.
Welcome back!
Are you a stand-up comedian? hee hee You are too funny.
Hmm- for some reason, the BX code is looking familiar. I think I have seen it when trying to download a pic on my blogger post.
I find no help at all in the Help area. Blogging for Dummies is okay, but even that doesn't teach enough. sigh. I am right there with you in the question department. I sometimes get that error message, but I retry, and it usually comes up. Maybe it has something to do with the dial-up...Good luck!
Oh my poor Technology Challenged Friend (TCF)! I am sorry I can't help you with this one :( Have you tried googling your error?
Good Luck !
Dear, I am just about as techno-savvy as you are and can only recommend that these types of crisis's be resolved with a bazooka at the head offices of your particular blog publishing platform.
I guess that sounds a bit drastic? What I'm saying is I feel your pain.
Ive never seen such a code on wordpress.
:-)
Is there really a blogging for dummies book? I want a copy!
Ok....I recognize your pain! I have no technoskill so I'm of no help. Hopefully there is some long time blogger who can help you....I'm still learning stuff everday. GOOD LUCK!
Lord have mercy - I am going to race right out (as in some day I will drive the 45 miles to the nearest bookstore) and get me that Blogging for Dummies book because I just know my picture is posted right next to the chapter entitled: Here is the dumbest chick to ever think about blogging and who still uses dial-up internet and doesn't know her RSS from a hole in the ground.
What the html is going on with that code? You're scaring me because I have this fear that blogger is going to go into Fatal Error mode and I'll never be able to retrieve anything I've ever written because I don't save it anywhere (that would require technical expertise, or patience, or time, or common sense).
I have found the google help sections very helpful (for example, the day that sitemeter blew up everyone's blog). Blogger? Not so much. I can't even locate on there how to bold and strike through text, so why should the trouble section be any better.
Good luck and let me know if there's anything I can do since I'm just down the road from ya. You could always come here on my dinosaur and use it in the worst case scenario.

I have had the problem when downloading pics. Oh the frustration, so I know where you are coming from.
I still can't tell you anything because it fixed itself. Thank goodness.
Good Luck!!
I want a pretty blog, but I don't have the patience to figure it out on my own. I doubt Blogging for Dummies would help. You would think the community college would offer it as an enrichment class, but no such luck. I'm stuck with the simple template layout.
I just leave the computer alone for awhile and it seems to be all right when I come back.......Hmmm kinda like Bud Man!
I am finding me one of those "Blogging For Dummies" books!!
I don't know about that particular error, and I have tried to leave messages for Blogger's tech support too, only to come to a dead end, and I was logged in.
I do remember getting help by reading some forum on blogger where other people share problems and solutions but it's been so long I don't know exactly how to navigate there but it helped me.
Also, when I get an error message when I try to download a picture to a post, I check the photo to make sure its jpeg, if it's bitmap or gif, I resave it as a jpeg file. That solves the problem.
Anyway...I love your header! Very nice :)
