Friday Fun Facts

"FIREWATER" compliments of Bud's Beach, Gwynn's Island, VA

Just in case you aren't sick of my drivel haven't learned enough about me already, I thought I'd post a few facts about my mundane fabulous life! A list of current events, if you will...

*I have completed 51 classes at the gym, and have dropped a measly 5 pounds. This means that I need to complete 153 more classes in order to achieve my weight loss goal. Wine, anyone?

*Tonight is opening night of a local performance of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. The one and only Snow White makes her opera debut as Cherubino. Snow White's parents are quite proud of their daughter, who is an aspiring opera diva! **praying for sholarships**

*It has come to my attention that there will be a new requirement for all Blog Fest '10 attendees. Each participant will be required to provide a urine sample prior to all beach activities. This will ensure that there is a ready supply, and no one will be asked to "step up" should an emergency jellyfish situation arise.

*Vacation Bible School has been a HUGE hit with the children this week! As the Snack Lady, it was my job to ensure that the snacks were as much fun to make as they were to eat. If the amount of scraping I had to do to remove shredded cheese, pop rocks and cool whip from the carpet is any indication, I succeeded!

*I went to BJ's yesterday. All of the summer items have been taken down and replaced with Halloween costumes. What the heck is THAT about? I've just started to get my flip-flops broken in.

*There was an amazing light show at my house last night. We didn't get the much needed rain, but the lightning rivaled any fireworks display I've ever seen.

*Cool Breeze and I are craving seafood. Looks like crabcakes and scallops are on the menu at Casa de Envy this weekend. YUM!

*I have scheduled a poolside nap for tomorrow afternoon. What will you be doing to rejuvenate yourself this weekend?

YOU: 151 classes = 5lbs.
ME 0 classes = 0lbs.
Yes to the wine!

I hope Snow white has a great time...congrats to all 3 of you!

Urine samples? I don't want to come next time.

My weekend? Only one child, no husband. Girls rule. Not sure what we are doing, but it should involve shopping, lounging and chick flicks. :)

I would love to hear Snow White sing! How about a youtube sampling or something.

You just reminded me to get Phil and JJ their Holloween costumes. Do you and Cool Breeze dress up? You'd look cute as Pebbles and BamBam.

Y'all need to get in the car and hoof it on over here. We are havin' scallops wrapped in bacon over the charcoal grill. Wine One One has also been summoned.

Hope the opera goes well and you get some much-needed rest. You deserve it.

I'm going to sleep in this weekend and I'm going to celebrate my daughter's 28th birthday. Every year we go to Canter's Deli in Hollywood. There is usually a celebrity sighting...so it is worth the drive from the OC to LA.

WTF!!! I wasn't invited for crabcakes and scallops??? I am so in need of them and some grey goose and sprite. Or after the week I've had, maybe I'll skip the sprite.... Lord knows I need it!!

Wish I could see SW in Figaro... Tell her to break a leg !

Don't you hate that stores won't even let one season begin be?

I haven't gotten tired of any post about Blogfest. I only wish I could have gone. Next year.....

Enjoy that seafood. I love crabcakes.

After Friday's pack/paint/unpack adventure I am going to be doing some of my much needed weekend beautification™ done today and then go find some corner shelf units and a large nice looking basket or container that all the crap that doesnt go on the shelves can go into

Sigh, I would much rather nap poolside with you..

I hope Cherubino was a smash hit and got herself a standing ovation!

We're going to Camden and parts north along the coast and just going to lollygag and be silly. Oh yes we are!

Oh hey, did you know you can freeze urine? Yeah, I just found that out. Just the same, Popsicles go in my freezer and not peesicles!

Okay, so put it all aside and focus on the last one. That poolside nap can take some serious skill. Please, just let me know if I can assist in any way with that!!!

I can never learn enough about you : ). So excited about Snow White's performance. That is awesome! Way to go losing 5 pounds. You are a super star. I have to lose 5 pounds. Plus 200 more. : (

Scary math! Don't do math! Stick with naps and wine.

I had a great day yesterday and today, after church, we'll pack for a family getaway this week. Heading to the Blue Mountains in eastern PA. Exact opposite of the Bay, but fun in its own way.

I wish I could come and hear Snow White sing!
Church rejuvenated me this weekend.
with the song:
Oh no you never let go
through the calm and through the storm

This is hilarious. I want to schedule a poolside nap, too.

Needed: pool. And lounge chair.

Sweetie, there is absolutely no need to inconvenience anyone for urine. I collect bags full of urine from Henrietta outa that handy dandy catheter. I never thought there would be a market for it... Hummmm, (Picturing a little stand at the beach in Galveston with a sign saying "Put it back in your pants! I sell urine for jelly fish stings!".

A poolside nap - why that sounds delightful. As do the crab cakes!

I made homemade banana pudding ice cream this weekend, which sounds great, right? It was a lot of trouble and then had the audacity to taste only okay. I've been wanting to make that recipe and now I have.

Bring on the crab cakes!

My weekend was long and fantastic. Lots of pool lounging with far-flung family members, and disgusting amounts of food and drink. I'm waiting for lightning to strike me dead because I'm having too much fun this summer.

Anxious to hear how Snow White did -- opera is wonderful and Figaro is a favorite! YouTube, right?!

How did the debut go? I'll be it was perfection!
