Well Tag Me Twice!

I'm going to catch up on my tags today! I have received two tags for the same meme. The first one came from my friend Marlene at Country Girl on the Chesapeake Bay. She's a quilter/crafter who loves mermaids and merdudes, and she lives on The Spit! Don't know where The Spit is? You'll have to go see her to find out. You'll enjoy the visit. She may even make you some Mt. Dew Dumplings.

The second tag came from my world-traveling friend Grandma J. She enjoys long boat rides to Alaska, and she is always surrounded by men. Sometimes, they take their shirts off. The men. Not Grandma J. When you stop by her place, be prepared to sit a spell....and to laugh a lot! She'll pour you a glass of wine, and challenge you to predict who will win "Dancing with the Stars" this season.

Seven Random / Weird Things About Me:

1. My husband and I are both right-handed. Our daughter is left-handed.

2. My favorite part of an ice cream cone is the very last bite. I LOVE the way the ice cream melts down into the cone crannies and sits there. YUM!

3. I can't stand for my hands to be dirty. I wash my hands about a hundred times per day. No, I have not sought counseling for this OCD behavior. Do you think I should? Excuse me, I need to go wash my hands.

4. I have sort of a tote bag fetish. Not pocketbooks, tote bags. Whimsical beach bags, monogrammed L.L. Bean Boat & Totes, free giveaway bags from Estee Lauder.....you get the idea. Can't get enough of them. My daughter seems to have inherited that gene. Poor kid.

5. I have a HUGE crush on Kiefer Sutherland. a.k.a Jack Bauer. 24. Two hour movie special to air November 23. Guess what I'll be watching.

6. I love the smell of Noxema. (Raise your hand if you, too, are a child of the '70's) I also love the smell of magic markers. No, I don't use them to catch a buzz. I just like the way they smell.

7. The day I got married, I weighed 96 pounds. Six years later, when I went to the hospital to have my daughter, I weighed 192 pounds. Now, I am somewhere in between - thankfully closer to the lower number than the higher one....at least for now. My Blogger Butt is really starting to concern me!

The Bloggers I'm Tagging - I chose these ladies for a variety of reasons, but the primary reason is that I want you to go send them all some Bloggy Love!

1. Tami W. I am in love with her cat, Lorenzo! He's a BAD BOY...just my type!

2. The Girl Next Door She lives next door to her ex-husband. Can you imagine?? Check out her site for her latest adventures in civility.

3. Heidi - The Milk Man's Wife She lives on a farm and has FIVE boys! Again, can you imagine?? Her stomach is iron-clad, and she makes a mean John Deere cake.

4. Krissa She is recovering from Hurricane Ike, and has just finished caulking her roof...BY HERSELF. Go help her pick out a color for her front door!

5. Mom x 2 She is in Cancun right now. She told me not to be jealous because it was a "business" trip for her husband, and they would have to entertain people the whole time they were there. Yeah. Right. Bwahahaha!

6. Travel Girl She's a walker, a biker, a traveler, and she worked in a jail for two years helping inmates get their GEDs. She needs for us to commiserate with her because she has to share a computer with her hubby!

7. Monica Davis Monica is a new blogger who came my way via Marlene (one of my taggers). Monica is a beach baby who has fantastic BIG hair. She is going to give it to me when she cuts it.

If you don't wish to do this, it won't hurt my feelings. I'm flexible like that!

Have a great Tuesday!

I am basically you. Except for the 96 pounds. I was 110 when I got married. And 210 when I went to deliver my twins six years later. Not talking now, but it is definitely in between those two;) By the way, they didn't weigh 50 pounds each. Little suckers.

That weight demon bypassed me during my child bearing days...but caught up to me big time when I quit smoking a few years ago.
Bad demon....bad, bad demon.

I can't wait to visit all your tagged bloggers! It's just a shame that I can't vacuum again today. :)

What wonderfully delightful things to say about me!!! I just love you and have since day one!

I too LOVE tote bags and well, just any bags...except those teeny tiny little ones you can't get anything into.

You are perfect just the way you are and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I love Noxema smell and regular pine-sol.

I am the only leftie in the entire family. Years later, a leftie niece came along and the right-handed family was yet again shocked. Genetics is fun stuff.

Want you to know that I have not forgotten about you---I am a little stumped and wonderful Marlene is coming by to help me on Saturday so I cannot wait to fill out this wonderful tag thingie but I am sitting on my hands until Saturday and FYI I chopped a ton of hair off in the garage on Monday and will be getting some new pictures up soon---hubby says he cannot tell...however, I believe that I could make a small creature out of what was leftover! Thanks for thinking of me and I too have the handbag thing! Have a great day

98 lbs? I wasn't THAT skinny, but I was damn small when I got married. Barely broke 100 lbs. IMMEDIATELY after I had first girl, I was back in size 7 jeans, I mean in under two weeks! The second girl didn't treat me so nicely. It just wanted to hang on. And on. And on. And on.
Thanks for tagging me! This'll be fun!

Wow, BHE, it's like we're twins, separated at birth...

That's MY favourite part of the ice cream cone, too! I wash my hands far too often, judging by their chapped condition. It's not OCD, it's good personal hygiene!

I also have a tote bag collection, as well as a large purse obsession. AND I love the smell of Noxzema!

LOL!!!

I think I'll weird everybody out and do this meme on Thursday... and yes, I do have THIRTEEN odd things about me, at least! :)

When I came out the birth canal I weighed 96 pounds.

We got our behinds beat by Aylett tonight - they came to Gloucester.

And you're showing me up by doing Grandma J's meme in such a timely fashion. I won't be able to get to mine until later this week, and I am already about 2 weeks overdue from rob at inushkuhk's adventure.

My hand is raised about the Noxzema.

Ninety six pounds? Gracious, girl.

Yes, that really is the best part of an ice cream cone. I love these, you really get to know a gal by the smells she likes. *)
