25

Last weekend, the Small Water Town, VA Class of 1984 gathered to celebrate 25 years of life after high school. We talked about our memories, our children, and our families. We also danced, and sang along to familiar tunes from the past. There may have been wine...

One class member has gone on to a better place, and it seemed only right to honor him. Jen (holding the mic) put together an amazing slide show, and the last section was dedicated to Marty's memory. There may have been tears...

Cool Breeze took some time to catch up with our friend Ed. There may have been trouble brewing...

Every group photo I have seen looks just like this one. I'm wondering if, collectively, we just aren't a cooperative bunch. I tried to hide behind one of the big guys (far right, front), but they made me get up so I could be seen in the picture. There may have been snickering...

As with the past four reunions, the evening ended much sooner than any of us would have liked. After cleaning up, a small group of us headed over to the home of a friend who still lives in town. Did I mention that he lives right on the river?? We hauled our chairs down to the dock, and watched the town lights twinkling across the water. There may have been sighs of contentment, as old friends continued to reminisce into the wee hours of the morning...

Looks like a good time was had by all!!

It is always so wonderful to reconnect with old friends - the ones that know all the bad along with all the good and still love you. I wonder why we don't do it more often.

It looks like you had a wonderful time!

I love gathering with my HS buddies and talking about "the old times". I swear even the awful times end up being remembered as funny (well, most of them).

I wasn't there, but just from the pictures, you look much too young to be there.

RIP Marty

I know you had sooo much fun and I can not wait to hear about what actually did happen...you look fabulous and honestly much younger than any of your classmates. Must be in the water up there! I am so glad you all had a great time together. Sorry you lost one of your classmates. Hope to see you at church on Sunday!

This looks like so much fun. You are lucky to be able to attend these reunions. Wine, tears, trouble...all good. Hopefully less tears next time.

How wonderful! It sounds perfectly dreamy. A wonderful way to catch up with old friends. I look at that stupid Classmates advertisement from time to time and wonder...

That looks like so much fun. YOu and Cool Breeze looked fantastic.

Sorry to hear about your classmate. We've lost several in our class....closer to 5.

It's always good to see old friends.

That is fabulous my friend. So hard to believe that day has came and went already. And I am so proud of you for getting in such great shape for the event. Looks like you all had a great time! You are the prettiest of the bunch!

My 20th will be in 2011...maybe I'll go, if so, it will be the first one.

Glad you had fun. When my high school class had our last reunion, I didn't get invited. I'm over that now and trying to decide what to wear next summer for the next one. Now, if that invitation would just arrive...

YOU look AMAZING!!!
THat is certainly a small class!
I would have liked to have a smaller graduating class. Closer ties!

Now THAT sounds like an ideal class reunion - how fun!

At my last one, our ten year reunion that we had with two other classes, there was a live band, open bar, and a fistfight. Of course.

I am glad you had a great time. I was going to say that 25 years seems like a long time, but then I realized that my 15 year reunion just passed. 25 doesn't seem long at all. Not long at all!

Sounds like you had a ton of fun....which Marty were you talking about? I probably knew him.

Aww, I love reunions. I'm glad you had fun. And that you might've had wine to drink. Possibly.

Do you know my class of '86 has lost 8 or 9 people now?! I'm amazed yours has only lost one. (And I didn't go to a big school, maybe 300 in my class?)
