Are You My Mother?

Once upon a time, a puppy was born with a not-so-perfect foot. She knew that she would not be able to hunt like the other puppies, and quickly realized that she would have to find a new home. The new home she dreamed of had plenty of space to run, a soft bed to sleep in, other animals to play with and even some children to chase! She hoped that her new mother was out there. Somewhere. Just waiting to take her home.

She posed perfectly....please pardon the poo!

She only has a few more days on this earth...unless we can find her a place to go. This is my last-ditch effort to find her a forever home. Does anyone have a little space for a new family member? Anyone?

If we had the money to raise another dog, we would take her in a minute. I mean that sincerely. She is gorgeous.

Love your heart...thank you for trying. Jami Lynne has been so upset about this. She found the other "different" puppy a good home, just can't find one for this baby. I hope, I hope, I hope someone you know will take her. Such a sweetie!

I'm afraid she may only have until this weekend:/ PLEASE ask all of your friends. And, perhaps, your enemies! I've been trying to find her a home for weeks:( She's a purebred Walker Hound, and has the prettiest markings of the whole litter! So sad...

My heart is just broken that I can't take her. I need a furry friend but my CA home won't let me :(

This is heartbreaking. Please report back that someone has taken her because I cannot stand to know the alternative. How could that even be an option with no-kill shelters? The Mathews-Gloucester Human Society will take her and take good care of her. Please send her there before anyone puts her down.

I posted a link about her on Facebook, I hope this helps and she gets a great home. Can anyone tell the shelter that we are working on finding her a home and to be patient?

I just now emailed an old acquaintance of mine who works with the Beagle rescue here in Raleigh, hoping that she knows somebody who knows somebody. I don't have so many contacts in rescue groups any more, and most of the ones I did have were with large breed groups (mainly Rottweiler groups, but GSD's and other working breeds too).

So anyway if you hear from a woman named Connie from the Greater Raleigh area, that's her. Given the time crunch, I'm not real optimistic though.

Where in VA? I will post to my rescue group, but the VA is a big place. What city?

I really want to help.

Can you get the dog to PA? Hubs (Scott) & I will take her. We're outside Philly by King of Prussia. We have 5 cats, a massive huge yard, hoping to have a baby next year and I'm friends with Daryl. Small house, but we don't want to see anything happen to the baby girl. And we have a great vet.

She is a beauty, but I cannot have another dog. Three is the limit per household in my county and the Brute Squad already numbers three. I hope you will find someone that can give her a home. She's a charmer!
