Acronyms

Earlier in the week, our CPA dropped off our EOQ and EOY business tax forms. The packet included W-2's & 1099's. There was also a note asking BHE to update her SUI rate in QB. ASAP. FUTA rates were current. FICA was already paid.

Snow White came by the office after school yesterday. We discussed her scheduled auditions at JMU & NYU, and decided it was best to just send a CD and a DVD to Baylor. Afterward, she and Cool Breeze worked on her FAFSA form. I played BB on FB.

Once in a while, someone will call Cool Breeze and request a WQIA. Sometimes DEQ and the ACOE will get involved, but not always.

We are living in an acronym world, and I am an acronym girl.

The only acronyms I can think of are IBS and PMS. Hope neither is part of your life today.

Just steer clear of that one known as PMS. It's a witch.

There is one, though, that will help you forget about all this: NYC.

Oy. I only scored 50% on your acronym test. Still laughed though... the point is clear regardless. A college friend used to use this one regularly to describe certain life situations: BOHICA!

(Trans: Bend over! Here it comes again!)

Congrats on your potw mention and thanks for the visit.

I can work out most of these, but a couple stumped me.

My favorite was the day I had to puzzle out NSFW (which means "not safe for work") , I was luckily at home at the time, but the meaning was inescapable once I clicked on that particular link. Nothing terribly alarming, just (as you might expect) someone in a state of undress. However, I have a HUGE monitor, and holy smokes, wasn't expecting that.

Just saying, it pays to know the acronyms of this world, lest you end up with a giant man part in the middle of your home office.
