Red Doors

I started a new job in December, and one of my favorite assigned tasks is to visit an old property to determine if it's a candidate for revitalization. These doors belong to the beautiful Oak Grove Elementary School in Westmoreland County.

I don't know if she'll ever make the cut...

...but, as with most things in life, time will tell.

Thinking of my beloved grandmother on her birthday. She would have been 99. Happy Birthday, Grandma! You are loved and missed.

Is your employer hiring? I want to work there!

Love these. I'd vote for a yes to giving her new life.

Cherish your memories of your grandmother. I'm sure she was one very special lady.

Are you loving your job or is it hard to make those decisions? Save the school, and PLEASE don't replace it with one of those windowless modern marvels.

Eeek!! We're neighbors!!! I'm in western Stafford county, and I was just out in Westmoreland visiting my mother-in-law the other day. It's wonderful to find a blog-buddy who lives nearby and loves historic structures. We must DEFINITELY get to know each other better!
