Compliments

Image borrowed from HERE

I have grown tired of the negativity and lack of couth that seem to be more the norm than the exception these days. I'm going to list ten compliments, and I want you to USE THEM. Compliment your neighbor, your hairdresser, the bum on the corner, or yourself. I don't care HOW you use them, just USE them!! Consider this MY small effort to restore decorum and civility to this crazy world. Or, just consider me crazy!!

1. I knew I could count on you!

2. Have you lost weight?

3. I LOVE your shoes!

4. I'm glad you're my friend:)

5. You are one of the smartest/ most talented women I know!

6. You deserve it!

7. Life certainly is agreeing with you!

8. That sweater is the perfect color for you!

9. You have excellent taste!

10. You always know just the right thing to say:)

Now, GET OUT THERE and let's spread a little sunshine!!

By the way, YOU look fabulous today:)

Hey there!
Before I even read this I told a woman at the store I loved her nail polish! I am SO with you on this. Especially as women we should compliment one another more.
Have I told you lately how beautiful I think you are, lol?? You are one hot mama.

I am in total agreement, I am feduptohere with the lack of civility in this country and that some people feel entitled to be rude and mean........... leave mean to me people I know how and when to use it.

SIGH

And my dear you are the very model of civility ... your taste is unparalleled .. and that smile of your's lights up not just rooms but hearts!

You're simply the most fabulous person who ever lived for organizing Blog Fest: The Oyster Version.

What? Didn't you know? Why of course we would only want the smartest, most talented, organized person ever in charge of such an endeavor.

Just kidding. Sort of. Not about the smartest most fabulous part though.

You are SO right! I just got finished typing my blog for tomorrow, and guess what? My story started out with how mean people can be to pregnant women. People can be mean to everyone, and it's really sad. I try my best to have a compliment for each of my nice patients every time I see them. And even some of the not so nice ones!

Sometimes, we all need reminders, thanks! I did not get to Blog Fest, and have not met you, but you're a very sweet person!

Everyone should spread the love...I try to compliment my students at least once a day. If I realize I've gone a whole day without saying something positive to one of them, I make it a point to do it first thing the next day. And believe me, for some of them this is HARD!!!!

And you? You are as sweet as the honey on my toast.

Did you change the color of your hair a little - you are positively GLOWING!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your efforts to bring back decorum.

I totally agree with you on this! I like "I appreciate you" I think people need to hear that. I don't say it if I don't mean it, but I do say it a lot.
Suz
PS I appreciate you!

Tom Chiarella just wrote about this in Esquire Magazine - he spent some time trying to compliment lots of people daily - and his takeaway was that it felt the best when he could tell that he made someone else feel good.

That sweater looks fabulous on you! :-)
